Centuries the Berthod family lived in an old granary, dating from the 13th Century, in the village of Entreves at the foot of Mont Blanc. The house was known as a safe haven by travellers and pilgrims as they made their way between Franca, Switzerland and Italy, always offering a bed and hot meal on their journey.
The centuries’ old stone walls and wooden beams were imbibed with hospitality and kindness. So, when I decided to transform our family home into a hotel with all modern comforts I realised that I wanted the Grange’s visitors to feel at home just like old friends being welcomed with the same kindness and hospitality that I had learnt from my parents and grandparents.
